TESTING EQUIPMENT
When do I get the testing equipment?
Once you’ve created your store, a Foreseeson Technologies Tester will be shipped to the address on your account, so please make sure it is complete and accurate. All batteries listed for sale on the EVPartSmart website must be tested using this equipment to ensure reliability and consistency for buyers.
Can I use other testing equipment?
No. For batteries listed for sale on this website must be tested using the Foreseeson Technologies Tester and the test results must be uploaded.
Is it a requirement to upload test results in my product listing?
Yes. Many buyers make decisions related to second life uses based on the SoH (State of Health) or other aspects of the battery that are important to them. Providing accurate, consistent battery information is key to a smooth transaction, and helps to ensure little to no returns (and disputes over shipping costs) to the seller as well.

Why is it a requirement to use the Foreseeson Technologies Tester?

SHIPPING & SHIPPING COST
Who pays the shipping Cost?
Sellers pay the shipping cost. Make sure you include this expense in your price or expect to pay it from your sale proceeds. Alternatively, buyers can make you an offer where they present you with a price they’re willing to pay, and in that offer they’ll indicate if they cover shipping or not with their offer.
NOTE: Even if the buyer takes responsibility for the shipping costs, the seller is still responsible to ensure the transportation of the battery meets the requirements of the federal Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992.
Do I have to be worries about shipping liability?
Yes and no. Sellers shipping EV batteries must have and maintain knowledge of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, 1992. It is your responsibility to ensure that all batteries are shipped responsibly, that all forms/documentation is complete, and shipping containers are marked accordingly to meet the requirements of the Act.
negotiating a sale
Can buyers make offers?
Yes.This is a great way for sellers to find out what their batteries are worth. As soon as a buyer submits an offer, you will receive an email notification.
Who pays the Taxes?
The seller collects the applicable taxes from the purchase, and remits the tax collected to Revenue Canada, the same way you currently do when you sell any of your inventory.
Is there a warranty?
Buyers have 10 days (including weekends and statutory holidays) to review and confirm that the purchased items align with the listing details and to raise a dispute if necessary. Sellers must accurately represent their inventory to avoid potential returns. Any seller generating more than 3 disputes will have their store permanently removed from the website.
